Anti-Bribery & Corruption Policy

Our position on bribery, corruption and the offering or accepting of inducements.

Last reviewed 2026-08-17. Lead Group Limited, company number SC650289.

Statement of intent

Lead Group Limited prohibits bribery in any form. We comply with the Bribery Act 2010 and expect the same standard from anyone acting on our behalf.

We do not offer, give, request or accept any inducement intended to improperly influence a decision, whether in the public or private sector, in the United Kingdom or elsewhere.

What this covers

Payments, gifts, hospitality, favours, donations and offers of employment, where the purpose or effect is to improperly influence a business decision.

It applies equally to facilitation payments, which are illegal under the Bribery Act regardless of local custom, and to bribery carried out by a third party on our behalf.

It also covers the independence of our engineering opinion. Where we are appointed to check, assess, or give evidence, the conclusion is not for sale, and no commercial relationship changes it. This matters more in our work than the gifts register does: the valuable thing we could be asked to give away is a favourable verdict.

Gifts and hospitality

Reasonable and proportionate hospitality offered or accepted in the normal course of business is permitted where it is transparent and could not reasonably be seen as an inducement.

Anything with a value above fifty pounds must be declared to the Director and recorded. Nothing may be accepted at all during a tender, a dispute, or any period in which we are assessing or checking that party's work.

Raising a concern

Any suspected bribery or corruption should be reported to the Director. Where the concern involves the Director, it may be raised in writing to the company's registered office, or reported to the relevant authority directly.

Nobody who raises a genuine concern in good faith will suffer any detriment for doing so, even if the concern turns out to be mistaken.

Protected disclosures may also be made to Protect, the whistleblowing charity, at protect-advice.org.uk.
