What we cover.

From a single steel beam over a removed wall to a full new-build frame, we produce the calculations that prove a structure works and satisfy Building Control. Every output is fixed-fee, Eurocode-based and professional indemnity insured.

How our fees work

Fixed fees, agreed up front.

What a project costs depends on how many structural elements need designing, whether the existing structure has to be surveyed, and what the ground is doing. Tell us what you are building and we will give you a single fixed figure before you commit to anything.

Fixed, not hourly

We quote a single fixed fee for the whole piece of work. You are not paying for our time, so a difficult afternoon is our problem rather than your invoice.

Agreed in writing first

Nothing starts until you have the fee and the scope in writing and have said yes. No work is done on the assumption you will approve it.

No surprises later

If something on site turns out differently and the scope genuinely has to change, we tell you what it means before we do it, not afterwards.

The structural engineer is normally under one per cent of a project budget, and it is the part that decides whether the rest of the work gets signed off.

We work to a fixed fee agreed up front, so there are no surprises. The fee depends on the work, from a single beam to a full frame. Send your drawings for a fixed quote.

How quickly can I get them?

For straightforward domestic calculations we aim for a short turnaround once we have your drawings and any survey information. We give you a realistic target at enquiry, not a guarantee.

Will Building Control accept them?

Yes. We prepare the calculations and drawings to demonstrate compliance with Approved Document A, written so Building Control and your contractor can follow them.
