Equality, Diversity & Inclusion Policy
Our commitment to fair treatment in employment and in the delivery of our services.
Statement of intent
Lead Group Limited is committed to eliminating discrimination and to promoting equality of opportunity. We comply with the Equality Act 2010.
We do not discriminate on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
Employment
Recruitment, selection, training, promotion and pay are based on the requirements of the role and on merit.
Engineering has a long-standing diversity problem and a small practice does not solve it by writing a policy. What we can do is make sure that where we do recruit, the criteria are the ones the job actually requires, and that they are applied the same way to everybody.
We will make reasonable adjustments for a disabled applicant or employee, and we ask at the point of application rather than waiting to be told.
Service delivery
We work with clients, contractors and consultants without regard to any protected characteristic, and we expect the same of those we work alongside.
Where a client has an access requirement in how we communicate or deliver, we accommodate it. Reports can be provided in an alternative format on request.
Raising a concern
Anyone who believes they have been treated unfairly, whether an employee, a client or somebody we work alongside, should raise it with the Director. Concerns are taken seriously and investigated.
Nobody who raises a genuine concern in good faith will suffer any detriment for doing so.
Responsibility and review
The Director is responsible for this policy and for the practice meeting it.
This policy is reviewed at least annually.
